I’ve updated the “Orphans” section of the site to include every song I’ve posted on here in the past year that has yet to end up on an official release. Now included in the section are my travel songs from last year and the songs I’ve been posting lately from my recent travels. At the moment, there are 18 songs posted – go there now, click play, and enjoy an hour-or-so of poppy goodness.

Ok, I’m definitely working on a new album. Got 3 songs that are all-but-complete beyond a need for bass lines and the usual tweakage that occurs at the very end. Got 3 more that I’m in the process of arranging. I’m hoping to have all six finished and pretty by the end of the year (assuming my dying laptop can make it a few more weeks before I get some shiny, new recording equipment for Christmas).
So there’s six songs so far, all following a theme of sexual and relationship-ial disappointment (for what it’s worth, it’s the least autobiographical batch of songs I’ve ever come up with). It’s too many songs for an EP, so I guess I gotta come up with at least 4 more in order to make this an album. Then I gotta get things mastered, get the music up through all the usual channels, get a band formed (re-formed?) so that concerts can start being booked, and oh my head is starting to hurt so I’ll stop now.
I’m gonna try really hard to get a new song posted here within the next 2 days. A sweet love song – definitely not from the new album. If it’s not up by December 1, come find me and slap me hard.
I think I’m working on a new album. Not quite sure yet, but it feels that way. Sketching out several ideas that appear to be coming together to form a (very depressing) theme. None of the songs are finished in any way at the time of recording – I’m making it up as I go along. It’s a lot different from my usual method, which is probably why I’m enjoying it so much right now. For the first time in ages, I’m feeling musically motivated. Hopefully, it will last long enough for me to whip up something resembling a decent album.
Anyway, the first song is complete now, so I guess I gotta get started on the second.
